Of all the silly things to get mad at why traffic

Here is a riddle for you: It is usually the same everyday, at the same places, at the same times. If when you hear it reported on the radio it does not change your actions. It is traffic. It is the person doing things that you can not control doing things that usually do not affect where you are going or what time you get there. What usually gets me going is people that get mad over daily traffic.

It maybe called daily traffic because it happens everyday. Is it me or does the first time you get into a car with someone and they say they have "road rage" does it cause a red light go off in your head? Do you think that people that get all up in arms, angry or began to curse whenever the most minor traffic issue are a little mentally disturbed. According to a study performed by the National Institute of Mental Health, road rage is a mental disorder. A nicer way of saying it is if you have road rage you need to see a mental health professional to get that checked out.

Last momth a New Philadelphia, Ohio man was accussed of swinging an aluminum baseball bat at an off duty fire captain. According to newsnet5.com "Loren Jent of Massillon was a passenger in a pickup truck driven in New Philadelphia on Thursday by his girlfriend, who became frustrated trying to pass vehicles on the right and tailgated and sideswiped the captain's car". According to the report he proceeded to take two swipes at the civil servant. He could have killed him two times, first by side swiping the captains car, then secondly by taking swings at him with a metal bat. This how the mental health issue that is road rage may manifest itself.

Road rage can also be more tragic than just a few swipes with a baseball bat. This past Christmas a man lost his life on interstate 71. According to fox8.com "25-year-old Charles Goodson, of Cleveland, lost control of his Chevy Tahoe while trying to negotiate a curve. Goodson was killed instantly. " His pasenger was sent to the hospital after the incident. According to the report from fox8.com police were pursuing Goodson "after a reported case of road rage." A life was lost on Christmas morning and it may have been due to road rage.

If you have any type of mental health issues it is okay, go see a shrink that is what they are their for. Don't be the person that scares me worse than the person that is driving 5 miles under the speed limit in front of you by swerving, cussing, yelling and screaming. Do your best not to make your daily commute enjoyable, maybe you should because odds are you will be doing every day. Relax, breath, or maybe just hold it in until you see your mental health professional. My personal philosophy on road rage is; Do not tell someone they have road rage you may push them over the edge.
